More than 16 000 hip-hop fans attended HIP HOP KEMP 2005 the biggest attendance in the event’s four-year history. The weather was far from perfect for the whole summer and heavy rains complicated the preparation of HIP HOP KEMP furthermore. Nevertheless, summer miraculously returned the first morning of the event and sunny weather with temperatures exceeding 27°C remained for the whole three days. Everyone who attended HIP HOP KEMP with the festival - awesome weather, big name line-ups and fantastic overall atmosphere. There were 9 stages serving all kinds of hip-hop music non-stop for 3 days!

The Urei stage(2nd largest stage at the festival) was situated in a giant steel concrete military hanger and saw performances from many of the world’s top DJs, MCs and hip-hop bands. Furthermore the UREI Stage hosted the qualification for the 2005 Czech & Slovak ITF dj competition. As well as turntablists battles, live rap music and dj shows there were numerous Dj workshops teaching scratching, beat Juggling and Advanced Dj skills to the public. Highlights on the Urei stage were US DJ PHINGAPRINT in tandem with SKIP COON, DJ Rafik & Kid Fresh from LORDZ OF FINESS, DJs MARC HYPE & JIM DUNLOP from Germany and hip-hop bands LA SPLISZ, GHOSTBUSTERS and LONG LOST RELATIVE.

The HIP HOP KEMP festival is becoming the Hip hop event of the year in the Czech Republic with nearly 10 European TV stations reporting live at the event this year - including MTV, Viva, Czech TV, Prima, Nova, Ocko etc.
